Come Thirsty

Last night at the Edge Stan’s talk was “Come Thirsty” based on John 7:37-38…”If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.” Stan talked about if we are thirsty we must go to the only source that can quench, which is our Heavenly Father. We can’t go to humans in our life to quench that thirst. As I examine myself I see that many times I go to Stan for comfort and assurance. I know that I can rely on him for an earthly hug, but I must always turn first to my Father for my constant comfort and assurance. Man will never be able to fully meet any of our needs that only our Heavenly Father can meet and we should never try to fill any of those needs with anyone or anything else.
