Celebrating Mama and Darla

We had a great weekend celebrating Mama and Darla's birthdays. (Mama - Jan 18th and Darla -  Jan 31st) Darla came in for a visit to celebrate. Happy Birthday Mama and Darla! Lace, we really missed you!!! We didn't laugh or giggle!

Uppercase Living

My newest obsession has actually ended up a business venture for Stan and I. Uppercase Living offers hundreds of pre-designed catalog expressions as well as the option to custom design any expression you would like. These expressions can be placed on walls or any other smooth surface. Here are a few pictures of items I've made using Uppercase Living expressions and a few examples from Mom's house and a friend's house. If you're interested...just let me know! ;-)

Funny Videos of Sweet Kiley

Lacy has done an amazing job at keeping Kiley on a schedule so that she sleeps at night, but also gets the right amount of sleep time/wake time during the day. As you can see in the hilarious videos below I was having a very hard time keeping her awake during her wake time while we were riding in the car. She is just like her Mama...quickly falling asleep in the car.

Lunch with Casey

On Tuesday Mama, Bob, Lacy, Jeremy, Kiley, and myself (Stan had a meeting) met Casey (Bradley was working) at the Chop House for a delicious lunch! We had such a great time catching up and hearing about the development of Baby Stooksbury. I have to say Casey looks amazing and her growing baby bump is so cute!

My Sweet Husband...

On Thursday after finding out that I had a job Stan surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers! He is so good to me! He also spent his entire weekend helping me to get my classroom ready. I am so thankful for him and for the amazing support he has given me throughout the entire school process. I thank the Lord everyday for the amazing husband that He blessed me with.

Thank you all for your prayers!

Thank you all for your comments and encouraging words, but thank you mostly for your prayers! Today went absolutely amazing! The entire staff was so welcoming and seemed genuinely excited for me to be there. They were all also amazing in helping me get my room together. This is a created position because all of the other kindergarten classes are busting at the seams. All of the kindergarten teachers provided me with their extra materials, etc. that they thought would be helpful. Stan and I are going tomorrow to work in the class to get it all finished up. I promise I will post pictures as soon as I get the room completed. The students will actually be coming to my room on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I promise...pictures soon!

Christmas with Dad and Joy

We had a very Merry Christmas with Dad and Joy! After dinner and presents we played Wii! I feel pretty sure that Dad and Joy will be purchasing a Wii in the very near future...it is very addictive!

Chuck E. Cheese

On Friday after Christmas we spent a fun day at Chuck E. Cheese. While there Stan, Stacey, and I reminisced about Show Biz...I must say that Chuck E. Cheese is quiet different. We still had a fun day with the boys! And, Stacey was right...the pizza is great!

Thursday after Christmas

On Thursday evening after returning from Nashville we had Christmas with Ken, Pam, Stacey, and the boys...we missed David who had to return to Alabama to work.

We all received very surprising gifts...

We got Ken and Pam tickets to a Kentucky basketball game at Rupp Arena. Going to Rupp Arena is something that they have always wanted to do.

I got a PINK touchscreen digital camera!

Stan got a Wii!!! I must say he has become a bit addicted!

Stacey got a Kitchen Aid mixer...
Stan said you know you're getting older when you receive practical gifts! ;-)

The boys also got very fun gifts!

Christmas Day

Christmas morning we got up and drove to Hendersonville for breakfast with all of the family at Nanny and Buddy's house. We spent most of the day there and then on to Paula and Jim's for the afternoon and evening for lots of food and a fun game of Dirty Santa! We spent Wednesday shopping, eating and hanging out at Penny and John's house. We returned to Knoxville on Thursday. We had lots of fun spending time with everyone!!!

The girls!

Don't you just love Stacey's shirt!?! She said she can wear it now since the boys can't read yet! Too funny!!!

The tradition of passing out presents!

So many presents...where to begin!?!

Christmas Eve Night

Christmas morning Stan and I always get up early to drive to Nashville to spend a few days with the family. This year we left Christmas Eve afternoon so that we could take Mama to the Nashville airport so that she would have a direct flight to Jacksonville. After dropping Mama off at the airport we went to dinner at the Opryland Hotel. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas...I had not been there in a few years. After dinner we went to our hotel to open our gifts to each other! I must say it was quiet weird opening Christmas presents in a hotel room...but we still had fun! Mama even sent our stockings to open on Christmas morning!

Christmas Eve Day

Christmas Eve Day everyone came to Mama and Bob's. Bob gave Mama an amazing surprise that morning...a plane ticket to Jacksonville leaving that night. Bob didn't want Mama to miss Kiley's first Christmas...so sweet!!! As you can see in the sweet pictures below Mama was very surprised!

Mama called Lacy to let her know she was coming...those are tears of joy!!!

Stan's best friend Lee came over for a while Christmas Eve morning before heading to work. Last year Lee was away serving as a missionary...we were all glad to have him back for Christmas this year...especially Stan!

Mama and Bob surprised Lee with a video ipod! He was definitely surprised.

I surprised Stan with a ping pong table. He and Jason enjoyed playing...and Stan enjoyed winning!!!

We all enjoyed the non-traditional Christmas lunch of steak and baked potato!

This is one of my favorite pictures from Christmas! Mama gave Bob an inflatable snowman as a joke...you can see Mama found it very funny...Bob thought Mama was a smarty pants!
