I just had to post this new picture of the boys as Thing 1 and Thing 2! They are just too cute!

Okay...I Feel Old!!!

I absolutely love working with the students at First Baptist Concord. I feel so blessed that God called me to be Stan’s wife and for us to have the privilege to work with students. I take this calling as an extreme honor!

The one thing that happens though when working with students is that you often times feel really old (even though I’m only 26!)! This instance happened again just recently. I happened to glance down at the shoes that a girl had on and I said “Bailey…you have Sebagos!” I was shocked that Sebagos were coming back in style already…it wasn’t that long ago that I wore them…or was it?!? Bailey said “Darby what are Sebagos?” I informed her that Sebagos were the shoes she was wearing. She then informed me that they were actually called Sperrys! Oh…you know you’re old when a style that you wore 20 years ago comes back with a different name!!! Fun times!

I love being an aunt!!!

One of my favorite things is being an aunt! Right now I have two precious twin nephews…Mason and Nathan. I absolutely love getting to see them and spend time with them. I will never forget the day after mine and Stan’s engagement the boys started calling me “Aunt Darby.” It completely melts my heart everytime they say it. I look forward to every visit they make to Knoxville!

I am going to be an aunt again in May!!! This time to a little girl! My sister Lacy is pregnant with her very first baby…she will be 7 months pregnant on Saturday!!! We are so excited about Kiley Breann coming into this world! She will definitely be one spoiled little girl if I have anything to do with it!

And, then of course…I must mention my “adopted nephew.” Connor is the newest addition to one of my best friends since childhood…Tara Thompson. He is such a sweet baby that I love so much! Isn’t he the cutest?!?

Rupp Arena

It has been Stan’s dream to go to Rupp Arena and watch the Kentucky Wildcats play…well his dream finally came true! Some sweet people that we know gave us tickets and sent us to Kentucky for the weekend to see the Wildcats take on the Gators. Even though the Wildcats lost…we had an awesome experience at Rupp Arena and such a fun time!!!

Time is just flying by!!!

I just realized yesterday when my friend Jennifer pointed it out…Stan and I have been married 10 months!!! I cannot believe that in only two months we will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary! Time has absolutely flown by! I am so thankful that God brought me the amazing husband that He did! It has been a crazy, busy year…but, so much fun!

Well…here it is…my very own blog! I have not started this as a means to communicate pregnancy…it’s just for fun. Thank you, Carrie for your incentive to start a blog of my own!
